2024 Shelby F-150 Baja Raptor ready to rock with over 900 hp

Shelby American released its first take on the updated 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor range on Wednesday.

Ford's genius tuner took the already capable pickup truck and dialed up its performance to bring it even closer to Baja Desert Racing's trophy truck, with power ranging from 550 hp to over 900 hp.

The 550-horsepower version is based on a standard F-150 Raptor with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6, while the 900-plus horsepower version is based on a fire-breathing Raptor R with a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 . The Raptor R already delivers 720 hp from the factory, but to get more than 900 hp, Shelby added a 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger, a new intake manifold, and a Borla exhaust.

Shelby has been tuning the F-150 Raptor since 2013 and has used its years of experience to create the new 2024 F-150 Baja Raptor. Not only does it have more power, but it also has a more robust suspension, upgraded cooling, added underbody protection, and several styling enhancements.

Major items include a BDS suspension lift kit, a lightweight hood with functional intakes, additional driving lights, custom steel bumpers, and custom 18-inch wheels with 37-inch mud-terrain tires. The truck is actually fitted with six of these massive tires, two of which are mounted on a chase rack in the bed.

The interior features custom leather seats with red accents, plenty of Shelby badging, and a numbered plate on the dashboard that is registered with the official Shelby registry.

Shelby has not revealed pricing, but the regular 2024 F-150 with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8 starts at $130,000 and goes up to $139,995 for a supercharged version tuned to deliver 775 horsepower .
