Dodge Charger Daytona Concept, Acura Precision EV Concept, 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS: Today's Automotive News

Like the rest of the market, Dodge plans to shift to electric vehicles, but as the Charger Daytona Concept shows, the brand will not lose its leanings toward muscle cars. Dodge's concept car for the future of electric vehicles offers a modern take on the 1968 Charger's styling. It has a flow-through front wing, a multi-speed transmission, and a distinctive "exhaust" sound befitting a muscle machine.

Acura has previewed its first electric vehicle, and just as the 2016 Acura Precision Concept previewed the look of the TLX, the new Acura Precision EV Concept offers a glimpse of the next SUV Acura is building with General Motors. Specs have not yet been released, but it is expected to use the Ultium electric powertrain and battery toolset.

Porsche has unveiled the 2023 911 GT3 RS, the most track-focused version of the iconic 911. The super coupe's maximum output has been raised slightly to 516 hp, but the major changes are in aerodynamics and weight reduction, bringing the vehicle's weight down to 3,268 pounds. The car is equipped with a driver-controlled rear wing that provides 1,895 pounds of downforce at a top speed of 177 mph on the track, and is lucky to be available starting at $225,250.
