Spy shot of the 2021 Jaguar F Pace

The Jaguar F-Pace is one of the most attractive and dynamic offerings in its class, and the automaker intends to make it even more attractive with a mid-cycle refresh expected to go on sale for the 2021 model year.

The latest spy shots show a prototype of the updated F-Pace, which will apparently feature a new front and rear end, slimmer headlights and new taillight graphics. The taillight graphics appear to be more angular, like on the 2020 XE.

The interior will feature a higher level of comfort, adding soft-touch surfaces and hand-sewn leather. The cabin will also feature a new infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen display on the center panel. This system should be faster and more intuitive to use than its current laggy version.

In 2020. Jaguar will reduce the number of powertrain options for the F-Pace: only the inline turbocharged 2.0-liter four and the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 (the latter available for the high-performance SVR model) will remain. A turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine may arrive with the update, although this has not yet been confirmed. This engine will be paired with a mild hybrid setup on other Jaguar Land Rover models, developing up to 395 hp.

The redesigned F-Pace is expected to debut around the middle of this year. Jaguar's other major new additions this year are an updated E-Pace, an updated F-Type and an upgraded XJ. The latter will be introduced as a battery model.
