Lister Stealth promises to be the world's fastest off-road vehicle

British sports car manufacturer Lister is developing a tuned version of the Jaguar F-Pace. The car, formerly known as the Lightning and then the LFP, has been dubbed the Stealth by Lister and confirmed that it will join the arsenal of tuned Jaguars alongside the F-Type-based LFT and LFT-C.

While details have yet to be announced, the Stealth will be based on the Jaguar F-Pace SVR and, according to Lister, will be the fastest SUV money can buy. The Lamborghini Urus has a target of 190 mph.

A teaser video released on Thursday shows a very aggressive sound. It is also known that the Stealth will have an upgraded chassis and aerodynamics, forged wheels and nappa leather trim.

Under the hood will be familiar from Jaguar Land Rover 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, but its power will be increased from the usual for F-Pace SVR 550 hp to 666 hp. Thus, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with 707 hp will be the only powerful conventional SUV.

According to Lister, the Stealth will accelerate to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 mph. Only 250 examples are planned, so potential buyers are encouraged to get in early.

Lister is being turned into a semi-official division of Jaguar to develop new models, much like Alpina for BMW or AMG for Mercedes-Benz.

The good news is that Lister has not given up on standalone models. The company is still producing a continued version of its famous Nobley race car and is developing a supercar to replace the Storm supercar of the 1990s.

Developing new supercars requires significant funding, so Lister focused on tuning Jaguar. There is also a historical connection, as Lister's previous cars were usually fitted with Jaguar powertrains, for example, the Storm was powered by a 7.0-liter V12 from a prototype Jaguar XJR-9 race car. Previous Lister owners had also tuned Jaguars, especially the XJS.
