2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali starting at $91,995 with up to 460 miles of range
GMC's Sierra EV Denali enters its second year on the market with a new battery option that helps lower the price of entry. [2025 The GMC Sierra EV Denali is now arriving at dealerships, and GMC confirmed a starting price of $91,995 including a $2,095 destination charge on Monday.
It is powered by a newly available 170kwh extended range battery, which GMC estimates will provide 390 miles of range.
Buyers seeking even more range can choose the 205 kwh Max Range battery, raising the range estimate to 460 miles. The 2025 Sierra EV Denali with Max Range batteries starts at $100,495 including destination.
According to GMC, the 800-volt electrical system allows for DC fast charging up to 350 kw, adding 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes.
All 2025 Sierra EV Denalis will come standard with a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain with a maximum output of 754 hp. This output is only a temporary figure, available when the truck is in Max Power mode; GMC has not disclosed how much horsepower the truck typically delivers.
Other features include 24-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, and GMC's flexible midgate and tailgate, which can extend the length of the cargo bed to nearly 11. The towing capacity is claimed to be 10,500 lbs.
For buyers willing to wait, GMC has more options available in the first half of next year. These include new Elevation and AT4 models; GMC has not revealed what features these electric trucks will have, but the AT4 moniker suggests that off-road upgrades will be added.
When it was introduced for the 2024 model year, the Sierra EV Denali started at $99,495 and was only available in a special Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 configuration with a Max Range battery and 440 miles of range.
GMC was able to increase the 2025 model's range by 20 miles through efficiency improvements to certain electric powertrain components. These same improvements also benefited the related 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV.
