2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition, honoring the legend of Baja.

Bill Stroppe played a pivotal role in shaping Ford's motorsports program during the 1950s and the following two decades, overseeing a variety of programs, including road racing in Mexico, building and campaigning Indy cars, and perhaps most famously, running with Parnelli Jones and others in Baja and oversaw a variety of programs.

The big broncos that Stroppe built in his Long Beach store in the 60s and 70s were legendary in off-road racing. They had all the modifications necessary to succeed in the Baja 1000, and usually came in red, white, and blue with a black hood.

Ford is now honoring Stroppe, who passed away in 1995, with a special edition Bronco named after him.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition, unveiled Tuesday, features livery similar to what Stroppe would have done to his own tuned Bronco. It is exclusive to the Bronco's two-door body and is equipped almost identically to the Bronco Wildtruck.

Features include the Bronco's 330-horsepower twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6, Baja G.O.A.T. mode, 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires on 17-inch bead-lock compatible wheels, sway bar disconnects, High- Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension system, version 3.0, and more. This version includes Fox internal bypass dampers, heavy-duty steering rack, powder-coated steel bumpers, and steel bash plates.

Unique features include the first non-Raptor model to use Ford's Code Orange paint livery, matching tow hooks, squared-off high-clearance fenders, and removable side steps with integrated rock rails. It also features “Stroppe Special Edition” badging on the interior and exterior.

The 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition will go on sale next January. Pricing will be announced closer to launch. Bronco buyers will also have a new Free Wheeling appearance package available for 2025, which will add more retro design details inside and out.
