Alpine A110 R Ultime, the new flagship of the A110 sports car lineup

The only model currently available from Alpine is the mid-engine A110, but the handsome sports car will soon be discontinued and Alpine will show peak performance with the A110 R Ultime, a hard-core flagship limited to 110 units worldwide.

The A110 R Ultime debuted Monday at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, where Alpine announced prices starting at 265,000 euros (about $289,000). In addition, for buyers with deep pockets, Alpine will offer 15 units in a blue fade finish. This version will be priced at 330,000 euros ($360,000).

Deliveries of the A110 R Ultime will begin next year in markets where Alpine operates. The U.S. is not covered, but Alpine plans to begin sales in the U.S. in 2027, possibly with a pair of electric crossovers.

The A110 R Ultime stands out with a front mask flick, small stabilizing fins on the engine cover, a large manually adjustable rear wing, the addition of a ducktail spoiler, and body-color baffles (air curtains) by the rear mask.

Other performance features include an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, Ohlins adjustable shocks, AP Racing brake package, and forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (18-inch front and 19-inch rear). inches in the front and 19 inches in the rear).

Power comes from the A110's 1.8-liter turbo four, with a maximum output of 345 hp; the A110's only transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, unchanged in the A110 R Ultime.

According to Alpine, the A110 R Ultime accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds when using launch control.

For Alpine, the A110 R Ultime has special significance as it marks the end of gas powertrains in the Alpine brand. Alpine plans to launch seven new models over the next decade, all of which will be electric. These include the recently unveiled A290 hot hatch, the A390 compact crossover whose concept model was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, and the electric successor to the A110. Alpine also presented a hydrogen-powered supercar concept at the Paris Motor Show.
