While there is no shortage of Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon modifications, Poland's Carlex Design took a different approach than the typical testosterone-soaked creations.

First spotted by The Drive, what Carlex calls the G-Vintage is a modern G-Class with a pastel retro filter. Rather than trying to look like a background car in a low-budget action movie, Carlex tuned the G-Class to feature a white roof, whitewall tires, and a color palette that includes options such as lime pop, champagne fizz, and raspberry punch.

The G-Vintage rides on a "raised and wider suspension," according to the Carlex website blurb, and sports 20-inch wheels that look like enlarged 1970s Mercedes passenger car items. Other exterior changes include a body kit and Mercedes hood ornament, which complements the fact that Carlex has replaced the three-pointed star on the grille with its own logo.

The interior is upholstered in various shades of vintage leather and distressed in a way not typically found in car interiors. Carlex's website also lists a wood deck option for the cargo area.

Interior trim that makes the G-Class feel literally like a land yacht is not so outlandish for Carlex. The company's creations include a one-off AMG G 63 called the G-Falcon, which has a custom roof with a giant sculpture of the eponymous bird. The company also designed a 6x6 version of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class, a wildly upgraded version of the X-Class truck that was never sold in the United States

. Other models will be downsized to an inline 6-cylinder powertrain; the G 63 will retain its V-8 engine and add an active anti-roll system.
