2025 Genesis GV70 equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay

The Genesis GV70 is one of the better choices for buyers seeking a compact luxury crossover and has been enhanced with several minor updates for the 2025 model year.

The main change is the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for both the gasoline-powered GV70 and the battery-powered Electrified GV70.

Genesis Connected Services are also included, which includes the ability to remotely control some vehicle functions, such as starting the car and adjusting climate settings.

Genesis has also changed some of the available color options; the GV70 has lost the previous Cardiff Green and Brunswick Green options, but new Stall Green, Stall Green Matte, and Matterhorn White Matte, gained the option of McCullough Gray Matte. For the Electrified GV70, the Makalu Gray was removed from the paint option list.

Powertrains remain unchanged: The GV70 is available with either a 2.5-liter turbo four or a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 gas powertrain, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The engines produce 300 hp and 375 hp, respectively.

The Electrified GV70 is powered by a 77.4 kwh battery and a 429 hp dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain with an EPA-estimated range of 236 miles.

The 2025 GV70 lineup is already available for order. Prices start at $47,050 for the GV70 and $68,300 for the Electrified GV70. Both include a $1,350 destination charge.

Genesis plans to update the GV70 and Electrified GV70 more significantly for the 2026 model year; changes announced in April include exterior styling tweaks as well as a digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen The changes announced in April include exterior styling tweaks as well as a revamped dash with a single display panel comprising both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen.
