Get Multiple Great Cars at the Package Sale!

While some people painstakingly assemble car collections over decades, RM Sotheby's is offering an opportunity to do it all at once, offering a group of 18 cars as one lot at a London auction scheduled for November 5.

Dubbed the "Gran Turismo Collection" by the auction house, the collection began with the acquisition of a Ferrari F40 25 years ago, according to the auction listing. Today, the collection includes rare supercars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Jaguar, as well as Group B rally cars.

In addition to the F40, the collection also includes its predecessor, the 288 GTO, and its successors, the F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. The collector also has a penchant for front-engine Ferrari convertibles, with a 550 Barchetta, 575M Superamerica, and 599 SA Aperta (all in matching yellow) among the lot. These were production versions of cars that reached 300 mph, and the first two were both delivered in the United States.

Switching from Italian to British construction, the collection also includes a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 S, a homologation special of Jaguar's 1990s supercar built to qualify for the Le Mans 24-hour race. Also on display is the lesser-known XJR-15. This car was the immediate predecessor to the more famous XJ220 and, like the XJ220, was a joint project between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR). Only in this case, Jaguar and TWR used the suspension of the Le Mans-winning XJR-9 racing car as a starting point.

Speaking of race cars, the collection also includes some of the most famous cars from the Group B era of rallying. The Audi Sport Quattro S1, Lancia 037, and Lancia Delta S4 are the most famous cars from that era. These three cars alone would fetch a hammer price, so expect the entire collection to be sold for small country GDP money.
