2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV, 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R, 2023 Honda Civic Type R: Top Photos of the Week
General Motors this week unveiled two electric vehicles based on its flexible Ultium platform: the first is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV, which will arrive next year with prices starting at $44,995.
The second is Cadillac's flagship Celestic. A large, hand-detailed hatch loaded with technology, including GM's upcoming Ultra Cruise autonomous driving assist system, it should go on sale in 2024 as a 2025 model.
Ford is finally adding a V-8 engine to its latest F-150 Raptor to compete with the Ram 1500TRX. The V-8 engine in question is a supercharged 5.2-liter engine for the Mustang Shelby GT500, tuned to deliver 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque.
BMW was testing a more hardcore version of its recently launched M4 CSL. The new version is a modern take on the 1970s 3.0 CSL homologation special, and rumor has it that BMW plans to build only 50 units, each priced at almost $800,000.
Another vehicle tested this week is a new coupe that Mercedes-Benz expects to replace both the C-Class and E-Class coupes. This coupe is expected to be called the CLE-Class and will also come in a convertible version.
The redesigned 2023 Honda Civic Type R was unveiled this week. The hot hatch adheres to the tried-and-true formula of a huge rear wing, a six-speed manual transmission, and a powerful turbo four driving the front wheels, and we can't wait to drive it.
We have learned that Michael Schumacher's most dominant F1 car with an undefeated record will be auctioned off in August in conjunction with the 2022 Monterey Car Week.
And finally, one of the cars we test drove this week was the 2022 Lucid Air electric sedan. The version we test drove was the Air Grand Touring, which offers drivers 1,050 horsepower at their disposal.
