Spy shots of the 2024 Jeep Jeep Jeepster: baby Jeep, gas and electric variants already available

A baby jeep positioned below the compact Renegade is coming soon, and a prototype has been spotted.

The new subcompact crossover was previewed in March and is confirmed for launch in early 2023.

Although no name has been announced, the Jeepster has been rumored in the past.

The prototype is powered by an internal combustion engine, but Jeep has confirmed that an electric model will also be available. The Sterantis off-road brand is serious about electrification and plans to offer electric options in all segments by as early as 2025.

The Jeep baby will ride on Sterantis' CMP platform and twin with similar models from Alfa Romeo and Fiat; the CMP platform is designed for subcompact cars and is currently used in crossovers like the DS 3 crossover and Opel Mokka It is currently installed in crossovers such as the DS 3 crossover and the Opel Mokka.

The DS 3 and Mokka electric cars are powered by a 50-kilowatt-hour battery and a single 136-horsepower motor, but performance could be improved in the Jeep and planned Alfa Romeo.

The Alfa Romeo is rumored to be called the Brennero and is due in 2024. Fiat is likely to replace the 500X; all three cars are expected to be built at the Tich plant in Poland.

For the other EVs, Jeep will use the Sterantis EV-specific platform. The platforms are STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large, and STLA Frame, with ranges starting at 300 miles and reaching 500 miles.
