On Thursday, Ford unveiled the 2022 Mustang coupe and the 2022 Mustang Mach E electric crossover.

Ford calls this model the Ice White Edition Appearance Package, and while we'd like to think it was inspired by a rapper named Ice who favored white Mustangs, only 1,500 of them were actually produced. It was inspired by the three-seat white '93 Fox Mustang, of which only 1,500 were produced, and they were all convertibles.

Incidentally, that was the last time Ford offered the Mustang in a white color combination. Now, 28 years later, that option is back, this time on the Mustang coupe.

On the Mustang Mach E, this package is only available on premium packages. The coupe's exterior is covered in a triple coat of Star White Metallic, which accentuates the side mirrors and 19-inch wheels. The front and rear pony badges and interior are also painted white.

For Mustang, this package is available for the Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT Premium models, but only for the coupe. In this case, the exterior is painted Oxford White, which extends to the emblems and accents on the 19-inch wheels. The interior is not pure white. Instead, the trim is finished in a combination of black and white.

Ford will begin taking orders this fall, with deliveries expected early next year.
